Terms of use

Baseline is a pre-incorporation project by Tim Rudder; the operating entity will be a UK private limited company (Baseline Ltd). These terms are between you (the person using Baseline) and us.

You may use Baseline to analyse your own fitness data, or fitness data you have permission to analyse. You may not use Baseline to break the law, to infringe anyone else’s rights, to attempt to access other people’s saved Baselines, or to reverse-engineer the service.

You keep ownership of the files you upload. Because parsing happens entirely in your browser, we don’t receive those files. When you sign in and save, you grant us a limited licence to store the derived Baseline — your metrics, PBs and badges — so we can render it back to you on future visits.

Baseline is free to use today. Features may change, break, or be removed as the product grows. If we introduce paid features later, we’ll tell you before charging for anything and the core profile will stay free.

Where Baseline offers paid reports or plans, payment is handled by Stripe. Refunds for materially failed reports are honoured on request. Subscription pricing may change with reasonable notice.

You can stop using Baseline at any time and delete your account. We may suspend an account that’s being used to attack the service or that’s in serious breach of these terms.

To the extent allowed by law, Baseline is provided “as is”. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, loss of profits or loss of data caused by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that can’t be limited or excluded under English law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
